Day #2 the struggle ensues:
How many times have I tried and failed? How many times do I lack the resolve and conviction to not eat what I crave and eat what I need to eat instead?
Today was the Thanksgiving Party here at work, which of course means there was a lot of really good food brought in by my coworkers. It was like going over to my families on thanksgiving times 4. There was all sorts of different foods that are difficult not to endulge in.
To give you an idea:
- Sweet Potatoe Pie (x3)
- Mashed Potatoes
- Deviled Eggs
- Biscuits (yes there is a difference)
- Mac & Cheese
- some kind of lemon pie
- Green Beans
- Green Bean Casserole
- Baked Beans (3 varieties)
Plus several other things that I am drawing a blank on right now.
What a spread, but it makes following a nutrition plan difficult. Tomorrow I have thanksgiving with my family. So I have yet another day of this. It’s no wonder so many people put on weight during the Holiday season! I have got to figure out how to stop myself from over-indulging on these type of things. If anyone has some ideas please let me know. If I figure something out I will make sure to post it here.
